Our daycare program delivers safe, structured care in intentionally curated groups that promote healthy social behavior, emotional regulation, and overall wellbeing. Each dog’s day is carefully balanced with appropriate play and rest, while optional enrichment and training add-ons allow us to tailor the level of activity and skill-building to their individual needs.

Our Daycare Methodology

Daycare with us is not “24/7 group play for all.” It’s a curated social environment where every dog is placed with intention.

At Dog Days, we look at size, temperament, confidence, energy, age, social style, and daily emotional state to decide where a dog will thrive. Because dogs grow and change, we reassess every dog, every day.

Healthy social time requires more than dividing dogs by size. Our team builds playgroups that support:

• confidence building
• appropriate social learning
• safe interactions
• emotional regulation
• rest needs
• different developmental stages

 

Daily Assessment

Dogs are not the same every day. Life experience, age periods, developmental phases, hidden illness or injury, home changes, unmet hygiene needs, and more can all shape how a dog feels in group settings. Physically, the body’s condition impacts not just lifespan and comfort, but behavior as well.

We monitor and adjust based on:
• body language
• comfort level
• social dynamics
• fatigue
• confidence
• overstimulation
• a daily nose-to-tail physical assessment for any hygiene or health needs

Supporting the Whole Dog and Their Family

Sometimes daycare alone isn’t enough. When we notice patterns, we may recommend:

• enrichment activities
• training support
• grooming needs
• veterinary or behavioral resources

Our goal is to help your dog thrive in daycare and at home. This means that sometimes, even with our wide menu of options to help dogs thrive, we may not be the right fit. And that’s okay! We will still support you with honest guidance and community resources.

 
 

IMPORTANT BASICS

First timers: All new dogs need an Evaluation Day or Retest Day before joining daycare. It helps us make sure they are safe, comfortable, and placed in the right playgroup.

Cancellation Policy: Please cancel at least 24 hours ahead by phone, email, or in person. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will have a $20 late cancellation fee per dog.

Forgot to get your dog?: If your dog is still here at closing and we have not heard from you, we will board them overnight for their safety. These last minute, no-communication stays are charged at double our normal boarding rate, plus any meals or care needed.

Forgot to show up?: If you no-show for a confirmed reservation without letting us know, you will be charged for the full reservation, including any add-on services that were booked.

 
 

 Daycare MEMBERSHIPs INFORMATION

What is a Daycare Membership?
A Membership gives you a set number of daycare visits each month (or unlimited visits), plus added perks like grooming and on-site enrichment discounts. It’s our most cost-effective plan for daycare pricing.

How do Memberships work?
• Shareable across dogs in the same household (Unlimited excluded)
• Auto-renew on the 1st of each month
• First month is prorated if you start mid-month
• Unused days expire at the end of each billing cycle (no rollovers)
• Reservations are required for all plans except Unlimited
• Unlimited Members never need reservations and always have a guaranteed spot

Do Memberships offer the lowest pricing?
Yes. Memberships give you our lowest available pricing, plus ongoing discounts that are not included with Daycare Packages.

Can I share a Membership across multiple dogs?
Yes. All Memberships (except Unlimited) may be shared across dogs in the same household. Unlimited Memberships applies to one dog only.

Do Memberships include discounts?
Yes.
• All Membership tiers include discounted rates on grooming and on-site enrichment
• Unlimited Members receive additional perks including:
– A complimentary full bath each month
– Retail discount
– Priority waitlist placement
– Special boarding rates

Is there a minimum commitment?
Yes. Memberships require a two-month minimum commitment when starting. After that period, they continue month-to-month.

How do I cancel my Membership?
We require a one-month cancellation notice. Your membership will remain active through your final billing cycle.

Is there an enrollment fee?
Yes. There is a one-time $49 enrollment fee when starting a new membership or restarting a cancelled membership. Enrollment fees are waived when returning from an approved pause.

Can I pause my Membership?
Yes. We allow temporary pauses under the following guidelines:

• Up to two pauses per year
• Each pause may last up to two months
• A restart date is required at the time of the request
• If a restart date is not provided, the pause is treated as a cancellation

Pause reasons may include:
• Dog medical needs
• Owner medical needs
• Trainer-recommended behavioral breaks
• Extended travel

Can I upgrade or downgrade my Membership?
Yes. Membership levels can be changed for the next monthly renewal.

Do Memberships guarantee daycare reservations?
• Unlimited Membership: yes — no reservations required
• All other memberships: reservations are required and subject to availability

Can I use my Membership days for boarding or switch between Full Days and Half Days?
No. Membership days are tied to the specific daycare length in your plan and cannot be used for boarding or exchanged between Full Day and Half Day visits.

What happens if my Membership runs out before the month ends?
You may:
• Renew early, or
• Pay the standard daily rate for additional visits

Membership credits cannot be rolled over into the next month.

 DAYCARE PACKAGES INFORMATION

What is a Daycare Package?
A Daycare Package gives you a set number of daycare credits at a discounted rate. Credits are valid for 31 days from the first day of use.

How do Packages work?
• Credits expire 31 days after first use
• Credits may be shared across dogs in the same household (1 credit per dog per day)
• Packages must be paid in full at purchase
• Packages do not guarantee a daycare reservation
• If your package runs out or expires, you may renew early or request to be added to auto-renew
• Credits cannot be rolled over, refunded, or transferred

Can I use a Full Day Package for Half Days or a Half Day Package for Full Days?
No. Package days are tied to the specific daycare length in your package and cannot be exchanged between Full Day and Half Day visits

How is a Package different from a Membership?
Packages offer short-term, mid-tier savings and flexibility. Memberships provide our lowest available pricing and the best overall value, due to additional discounts on grooming and on-site enrichment.

 

SURGE FEES

During certain peak times of the year, all daycare services will be an additional $6/day and overnight boarding services will be an additional $10/night..  These Surge Fees apply to daily/nightly rates, daycare & overnight boarding packages, Unlimited subscribers, and discounted/complimentary daycare & overnight boarding.

They are subject to change each year.
